21,000 m² dedicated to research and innovation to boost the region’s dynamism

GenoLife is located in France’s first biocluster, Genopole, which brings together biotechnology companies, startups, academic laboratories (CEA, Inserm, etc.), cutting-edge technology platforms, and more. Through its international influence, it contributes to the development of innovative therapies and the bioeconomy.

The GenoLife laboratory project is fully aligned with the strategy of the National Health Innovation Plan 2030 and has been developed in partnership with local stakeholders: SEM Genopole, Genopole, Grand Paris Sud, and the Evry-Courcouronnes Town Hall.

This new real estate complex dedicated to research and innovation aims to inject new dynamism into the region and enhance its real estate offerings. More specifically, it supports the overall development of the biocluster by adding a new stage to the residential pathway offered to companies.

100% Adaptable and Scalable Technical Platforms

GenoLife addresses the growth needs of biotechnology companies seeking collaborative and functional workspaces to support the development of their R&D, bioproduction, or testing activities.

The project, designed by Patriarche, adapts to the constant evolution of technologies and relies on a bespoke platform concept to meet the needs of its users, including those with significant technical requirements (such as L3 laboratories or Good Manufacturing Practices areas).

More specifically, the objective was to create a building that is easily modifiable to accommodate offices and/or laboratories, reversible according to the needs and development pace of each user. To achieve this, the project focuses on rational spaces with minimal structural constraints, allowing great flexibility for interior layouts depending on the type of activity conducted (R&D, pilot line, testing, etc.).

GenoLife also offers a work environment conducive to exchange and the emergence of innovations. Emphasis is placed on the well-being of future users with a design that favours an abundance of natural light. The amenities integrated into the building are varied, offering convivial and exchange spaces, shared meeting rooms, as well as “workshop” type spaces that complement the laboratory platforms.

Users will also benefit from the services available in the neighbouring buildings of the project: nursery, inter-company restaurant, parking.

A Bioclimatic Approach

Its design, conceived with a bioclimatic approach, will achieve the Very Good level of BREEAM certification, thus illustrating Patriarche’s commitment to developing increasingly responsible solutions.
